Curriculum

Music theory and technical development are integrated throughout. Repertoire selections are tailored to each student’s individual needs and preferences.

Performance Opportunities

Performance plays an essential role in musical growth and motivation. Students are encouraged to participate throughout the year.

Annual Piano Recitals

Fall & Spring

Participation is required to be eligible for end-of-year curriculum medals and awards. Fee: $20 per family, per recital.

Students perform two memorized pieces for an adjudicator and receive a score. Points earned contribute toward a trophy awarded at the annual ceremony.

CMTA & GMTA Auditions

Romantic / Impressionistic Competition

Intermediate–Advanced

Held in the Fall. Students prepare two contrasting works from the Romantic or Impressionist eras, evaluated on stylistic elements such as expression, nuance, and rubato.

Masterclass
